Death Valley Trip_2023-Day 1

Our first night out on this trip and our first stay at a Harvest Host site!  We are staying at a beautiful golf course in Bakersfield called the Links at Riverlakes Ranch. We’ve already had one member welcome us and then brought his wife over once she got off of work to see our rig. We have a great view between the driving range and the chipping course. Nice and and quiet with two other RVers parked here as well. 

The travel here was relatively uneventful. We ate a wonderful breakfast at the club this morning. Then, it took us a little longer than we thought to load the few things we had left. So, we hit the road just after 11. We had a stop in Buttonwillow looking for a non-existent library. Then we found a library in Bakersfield so J could get her Kern County library card. That makes 4 and counting…
